The changing weather brought relief to her. She finally got out of the book, after being sucked into it and forced to go through the adventure of the imaginary characters in the novel. It’s a power inherited from the women in her family, though sometimes she feels like it was a curse, forbidding her from truly enjoying her love for reading books for pleasure, especially during rainy days. Like a masochist, she kept being drawn to the books during the stormy seasons, despite knowing that she will eventually enter the literary world and live the fictional lives of a minor, unimportant character in the stories, get entangled with the main characters (albeit her best effort to avoid them) - and ended up loving them, forming friendship and familial ties, eventually. Time can go for extended years in the book when in her world, time passed in mere minutes or hours. She can't count how many heartbreaks and painful separations she had to go through each time the weather changed, for she can never visit the same book twice, except during the leap years on the day of 29th February, on the night of the full moon. But once a reader, always a reader, and her life is much more exciting with this gift or cursed life of hers.
As the sun breaks through the storm clouds, it casts a beam of light onto the ornate book lying on the table. Lila feels a sense of relief as she finally emerges from the novel she had been trapped in for what seemed like an eternity. Her power to enter and explore the world of books was inherited from the women in her family, but it often felt like a curse rather than a gift. She had been drawn to the book, despite knowing the consequences of getting entangled with the main characters and forming attachments. As she reaches for the book, a sudden flash of light blinds her, and she is transported to a fantastical world. The sky is a deep shade of purple, and the trees tower over her, stretching towards the sky. The world is alive with magic, and lila feels a sense of wonder wash over her.
However, as the days pass by, Lila begins to feel a sense of homesickness. She misses the world outside the book, the smell of the rain and the warmth of the sun. She starts to wonder if she will ever be able to return. As she sits on a rock overlooking a vast expanse of land, she hears a voice calling out to her. It's a voice she recognizes, and it's coming from the pages of the book lying on the table in her room. With a sense of excitement and apprehension, she approaches the book, wondering if it's time to return to her own world.
As she opens the book, a brilliant light envelops her, and she feels herself being pulled back into reality. She emerges from the book, feeling slightly disoriented and relieved at the same time. The world outside is just as she remembered it, with the sun shining and the birds singing. Lila knows that she will always have the power to enter the world of books, but she also knows that there is no place like home. She picks up the book from the table, feeling a sense of gratitude and excitement. Who knows where her next adventure will take her?

Seronok jugak kalau macam tu
ReplyDeleteKan. Tak rasa macam hidup ni rutin semata, nak bangun katil pun struggle sebab tahu masih kena lalui realiti yang sama je.
